A little explanation of the acronyms as per request of my sister.

IET/AIT-Initial entry training/advanced individual training(AIT acronym being phased out)
Plt.-Platoon
SINGAR-radio
NBC-old acronym for nuclear, biologic, chemical
PT-physical training
For other acronyms the following is the official ABCA (acronym for army acronyms).

There are some acronyms that just shouldn't be typed out as the acronym is way to long and technical and that's why we only use the acronym as a word eg. HMMWV- High mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle or for brevity Humvee. The SINGAR is another example of this and I won't even try to type it out.
